1974 Triumph 2.5Pi Manual O/d

If you are looking for a very rare and well sorted 2.5Pi with factory manual overdrive this is the one to have!

Presenting in first-class condition throughout, this has been cherished and a well-cared for classic.

HJ4910 is now believed to be the only 2.5Pi in New Zealand to feature the lovely French blue color with shadow grey upholstery. Added to this it is likely one of only 2 examples left in the world in this colorway according to the UK Triumph Register- making it very rare indeed. Heritage records show that this car was assembled in Canley, England on February 18th, 1974. Post assembly, it was exported to New Zealand and sold as a new vehicle in July of that year.

Having had just 4 owners over 51 years, this is one special car and comes with an English Heritage certificate to confirm its prevenance.
Options from new in 1974 included front and rear seat belts, heated rear screen, and during my ownership the vehicle has now been fitted with period-correct Lucas spotlights and hazard flashers for safety.
With a confirmed ownership history dating back to 1986, I have personally known this car for 25 years and have owned it myself for the last seven years.
Well known in classic car circles, this car has been featured in YouTube reviews and magazine articles by international reviewers.
Work that I have done in my ownership includes:
Fully uprated suspension with front anti- sway bar, Koni shocks and Cobra springs, with all suspension bushes replaced.
Spin on oil filter, and a matching Smiths oil pressure gauge fitted in the instrument panel. Electronic ignition, and overhead throttle linkages have been fitted for optimum response.
The Fuel injection system has been fully reconditioned and rebuilt with an uprated power feed to the fuel pump to give enhanced response.
New clutch fitted 2024.
This is a fast, reliable, and fabulous car that gets lots of attention.
I would have no hesitation to drive this vehicle anywhere- it’s really just that good!
This is a very reluctant sale, genuine inquiries only please. The price is $24,000.
